PGMA announced yesterday the reshuffling of her cabinet after appointing (DSWD) Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Esperanza Cabral as the news Health Secretary to replace Sec. Francisco Duque III who in turn was appointed as Chairman of (CSC) Civil Service Commission. Duque was chosen to replace Ric Saludo who failed to get the approval of (CA) Commission on Appointments to head CSC.
Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita told Malacañang reporters that DSWD Under Secretary Celia Yangco will be the new Secretary to replace Cabral and that Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera’s appointment is now permanent.
