Luzon rocked by Intensity 5 earthquake

(Phivolcs) Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has recorded a 5.2 magnitude earthquake some 50 kilometers west of Manila around 6:54pm today. Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum said that the quake was tectonic in origin and can be attributed to the movement in Manila fault.

The quake was felt at intensity 4 in Manila, Pasay and Makati while Quezon City residents experienced intensity 3. Some nearby provinces like Cavite and Bulacan likewise felt the tremor.
