MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority) will be replacing the pink color scheme initiated by former MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando with color green as announced by new MMDA Chief Oscar Inocentes.
This move is in connection with the drive of MMDA to go green as the agency has sought support from horticulturists, agriculturists, tree doctors and NGOs in its drive to solve pollution problems in the metro. Subsequently, green planters were installed in various roadways yesterday and will soon remove all pink installations including the infamous pink fences and pink urinals for men. The move however has earned an issue on political color since PGMA's annointed presidential bet Gilbert Teodoro is identified with the color green.
